Trial Terms
How a Certiqa trial works, how it ends and what happens to your data.
Version 1.0 · in force from 18 September 2026 · forms part of the Terms of Service
What a trial is
A trial is a full Certiqa subscription with the fee discounted for a stated period. It is not a restricted version: the standards, modules and users your plan covers are the ones you have during the trial, and the records you create are real records that stay with you if you continue.
The length of your trial and the standards it covers are those stated to you when you signed up or agreed the trial with us, and are recorded against your account.
A trial converts unless you cancel
This is the part to read twice. Your trial is a subscription with a discount on it. When the discount period ends, the subscription continues and billing begins automatically at the price of your plan.
You may cancel at any time before the trial ends, and if you do, you are not charged. Cancel from the billing section of your account settings, or by emailing hello@is3.co.uk.
We will tell you before your trial ends. We arrange it this way on purpose: a trial that quietly expires and locks you out mid-audit is worse for you than one that continues, and the cancellation route is always open.
Your data during and after a trial
Data you put into Certiqa during a trial is yours, and the Data Processing Addendum applies to it from the first day, not from the day you start paying.
If your trial converts, nothing happens to your data: it carries straight on.
If you cancel, your account becomes inactive at the end of the trial. You may export your data before that point. After that, the retention and deletion terms in the Data Processing Addendum apply, and you can ask us to delete it sooner.
Fair use during a trial
The fair-use clause in the Terms of Service applies during a trial in the same way and with the same intent: use Certiqa as you would if you were paying for it, and we will not interrupt you.
